Sacred Practice
Sacred practice is something that is very important on a spiritual level and it can be as simple as you make it. A sacred practice is a moment to take for yourself. A time that you can connect with your higher power, to set your intentions for the day, to express your gratitude, and to balance and protect your energy.
A sacred practice is something you can do daily. It is also gives you moments of peace to be able to balance out energies and disconnect from the outside world or anything that may be on your mind. Your sacred practice only needs to be meaningful to you and could be performed in the morning, the evening, or whenever you feel most comfortable.
Here are some examples:
Find a quiet space for yourself. This can be in the early morning. This can be before other family members have awakened or after they have left for the day. This can also be in the evening.
You can light a candle to speak or pray to God, the creator, your angels, spirit guides, saints, the universe, or your higher power.
You can light a Palo Santo stick or Sage and cleanse yourself or the energy around you.
You can state what you are grateful for and set your intentions for the day ahead or if it's at the end of the day, you can share your thoughts and gratitude.
You can also play meditative music. You can slow dance. You can gently stretch. You can close your eyes and ask a question and see what guidance comes through, such as an image or a symbol.
You can do breath work by breathing in and out of your nose.
You can pull a tarot or oracle card for the energies regarding your day.
You can take a warm bath with essential oils or salts.
You can shower and envision intense energies of the day washing away.
At the end of your prayers, you may blow out the candle, with a thank you to your higher power.
If there is not a quiet space at home, you can go for a walk and speak to your higher power with your thoughts, regarding what you are grateful for and set your intentions. You can walk in nature, a park, along the beach or near a body of water.
Sacred practice is very important to your self-care and the balancing of your feminine and masculine energies. It also helps you to be more in the present, when our power is the strongest.
